Will cattle eat corn from a deer feeder?
Im about to set a deer feeder full of corn in a field that has cattle in it. The feeder is a gravity feeder that will be hanging from a tree. Do I need to worry about the cattle eatting my corn?
Yes, Hang it or place it where the cows can’t easily get to it. I would not be feeding deer this early unless you are baiting. I would only feed when they can’t find abundant forage or hard long freeze. It will make them to dependent on your feeder and when they would normally move to different feeding grounds as the weather changes, they will stay where the feeder is it could make it hard on the herd.
